Our Mission

Serenity Homes of Oregon is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that delivers a holistic sober living program to assist residents to achieve long-term sobriety.

Our goal has been to significantly increase the success rate of chemically dependant adult men by providing quality recovery support within safe, healthy, well-managed homes. Through our program, we aim to increase individuals long-term sobriety rate to at least 85% for residents graduating after a year from our program. Each resident involved in this program will be given the best chance at becoming an upstanding member of our community.

What Sets Us Apart

In order to accomplish such a high sobriety rate, in conjunction with the hands-on approach of the Program Officers guiding participants in their recovery, we require all program participants to:

—Have achieved a minimum of 30 days sobriety through a treatment program prior to admittance.
—Complete weekly progress reports and attend weekly group meetings with Program Officers.
—Be employed, actively looking for full time employment, or attending school.
—Volunteer a minimum of 8 hours per month to charity.
—Attend a minimum of 30 12-step meetings in the first 30 days of program participation followed by a minimum of 4 12-step meetings per week thereafter.
—Attend a minimum of one 12-step meeting in his respective Serenity Homes of Oregon house per week with all program participants in attendance.
—Have an established relationship with a 12-step sponsor, or attain one within the first week of program participation.
—Consent to and submit weekly uniform drug screen (UDS) testing.

Serenity Homes of Oregon offers those early in recovery the optimal environment for success by providing program participants:

—A recovery and resource library in each house.
—Direct partnerships with drug & alcohol treatment facilities.
—Fellowship and fun activities in a safe environment.
—Homes with all necessary amenities located in preferred neighborhoods centrally located near public transportation.
